I was the drummer for Belle of the Ball from April 1989-July 1990. I am not on that orginal demo, that was made before I joined the band. We did get a money backer in the spring of 1990 to go into 321 studios to record those three songs with Jack Douglas producing. The band broke up in the summer of 1990 due to personality conflicts and I don't believe Melinda was involved in another band since. I lost track of her around 1991 or so. If you have any other questions feel free to email me. All I can say that Melinda was extremely talented, and I hope she is doing OK whereever she is.
ReplyDeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteI was Melinda's guitar teacher, as well as a few other things.... She did manage to track me down in 98 or so, but I haven't heard from her since then. She was back in San Antonio at the time. Talk about drama. She did have a good ear though.
Hope all is well.
OMG, I just remembered that she wrote "You're the attraction" for me. Reference "China Club" if I recall correctly. I had to stop taking her there after she showed her breasts to a guy at the bar. (They were real though. LOL) I'm sure we must have met at some point.
ReplyDeleteI hope you are doing well.

Happy Birthday Melinda, wherever you are. (I think I'm a day late, though).
